The Open Door Mission is a non-profit organization that aims to help homeless people in the county. As a faith and evidence-based organization, the Open Door Mission provides several programs for people in need to reclaim their lives and improve their quality of life. One of these programs is the Substance Abuse Recovery Program which targets people that have been drug addicts in the past and now want to quit substance abuse.

The first phase of the program enables the individual to rest for three to five days and adapt to the new environment in which they will arrive, namely the Mayfield House Transitional Living facility. In the second phase of the program, the individual learns self-motivation and recovery ways to help themselves quit and improve their lives.

In the third phase, the individual creates healthy habits to replace the old and toxic ones that have led them to become addicted. In the end, the Substance Abuse Recovery Program provides career training so that people can get a job and start working for their future.
